Senior Principal Transmission Line EngineerJoin a global engineering consultancy delivering major transmission and energy infrastructure projects across the APAC region.Lead highvoltage overhead line design, applying advanced PLS modelling and structural engineering expertise to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant transmission solutions.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and major utility clients across APAC, driving technical excellence, innovation, and reputation as a toptier provider in the region.Multiple Locations Available: WA | SA | NSW | NZHarry Maxwell has been engaged by a leading engineering consultancy delivering endtoend services across generation, transmission, and distribution networks, with specialist capability in project management, construction support, and technical advisory services.We are looking for a Senior Principal Transmission Line Engineer to lead highvoltage overhead line projects across Australia and New Zealand, providing technical leadership and assurance across multiple complex programs.The ideal candidate will bring experience delivering detailed transmission line designs, validating PLSbased models, enforcing compliance with Australian and international standards, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle.They will represent the organisation in client and industry forums, drive technical direction, and apply deep expertise in tower design and advanced PLS modelling while mentoring others and strengthening the organisation''s standing as a toptier engineering provider in the APAC region.About the role:Lead and deliver highvoltage transmission line designs (AC and/or DC up to 500 kV)Produce and review tower designs, structure loadings, and line route engineeringDevelop and validate models using PLSCADD, PLSTower, PLSPole, and related PLS softwareProvide technical support, troubleshooting, and design assurance across multiple projectsEnsure compliance with Australian and international standards, including AS/NZS 7000Collaborate with internal engineering teams, clients, and external stakeholders.Contribute to the technical leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement initiativesRepresent the organisation in industry forums, client meetings, and technical discussions.Key Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural EngineeringHighvoltage transmission tower design experience (AC and/or DC up to 500 kV)Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing design quality and direction across multidisciplinary teamsMinimum 4 years'' experience in the design and delivery of transmission infrastructureAdvanced proficiency in PLSCADD, PLSTower, and PLSPole, with the ability to run complex modelling, loading calculations, structural assessments, and interpret/validate engineering outputsAdvanced technical understanding of overhead transmission line systems, structural design principles, and associated standardsStrong working knowledge of AS/NZS 7000, relevant IEC/IEEE standards, and utilityspecific design requirements, ensuring all designs meet safety, reliability, and regulatory expectationsStrong analytical, coordination, and communication skills with a focus on quality and deliveryChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation preferredCapability in transmission tower design, technical support, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagementPlease press APPLY NOW directly to this advertisement and we will be in touch for a confidential conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
