The focus is on offering tailored advice, resources, and programs to help students successfully navigate life and engage in their studies. It will involve close collaboration with academic and professional staff, as well as external agencies, aiming to empower students to manage their finances, access essential services and emergency supports, and secure stable housing.Position Details:Manage complex student inquiries using an individual case management approach.Assess student needs and facilitate student access to University services and resources appropriate to students'' educational and psychosocial needs, and facilitate referrals to external services as appropriate.Maintain records of student case work and referrals in the relevant systems, and contribute to the development and monitoring of these systems.Develop, deliver, evaluate and continuously improve proactive outreach programs to help students develop self-management skills and access group support programs.Develop high quality information and resources for students to self-access across various channels including the VU website.Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of programs, policies and procedures across the Student Equity, Safety, and Wellbeing directorate.Liaise with external agencies and bodies to build professional networks and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of services available to students and young people in the community, and to develop strong links for referral and collaboration.Provide regular feedback on trends in student experience and behaviour and advice on proactive responses.Salary:HEP 6 $91,796 - $99,361 per annum plus 17% employer superannuationEmployment Type:Full time, ContinuingHours:36.75Location:Footscray Park campus.
