Overview Under the leadership of the Early Learning Victoria CEO, the Director, Strategy and Planning, leads program management, strategy, policy, planning, family and stakeholder engagement and reporting for the 50 government owned and operated Early Learning Victoria (ELV) centres. This includes business planning, procurement, centre establishment and provides executive and Ministerial advice. The director works with the ELV leadership team to support the annual establishment and opening of new ELV centres. The director also leads effective program management, identifies and mitigates risks, ensures effective communication and responds to the many business system interdependencies. The position requires collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including ELV centre staff, DE central office and regional leadership teams, the Victorian School Building Authority, ECEC sector stakeholders, and other government departments and jurisdictions. Responsibilities Other responsibilities include : leading teams responsible for planning, engagement, policy and strategy , ensuring exemplary leadership and people management leading the planning and establishment of the 50 ELV centres program, including infrastructure and service offer design, budget planning, and policy development providing authoritative policy and program delivery advice to the CEO of Early Learning Victoria and the Deputy Secretary of ECE Group as a member of DE''s and ECE''s senior leadership group, contributing to the development of significant policies and disseminate and implement decisions appropriately ensuring robust governance, financial and risk management for areas of responsibility exemplifying integrity and setting a standard for others, supporting others to manage conflicts of interest, and using resources responsibly modelling public sector values (integrity, accountability, impartiality, responsiveness, respect, leadership and commitment to human rights) supporting the establishment of emergency and disaster management policies and protocols Additional information Further information can be found in the attached position description.
