About the role D&C Nursing Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. What you''ll be doing Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing Providing support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders Facilitating social and recreational activities to enhance the wellbeing of our clients Monitoring clients'' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical professionals Maintaining detailed client records and documentation Adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols and company policies What we''re looking for A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in aged care or disability services Second language such as Gujarati or other language would be great but not essential Previous experience working as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a community or home-based setting and also working experience in residential care home Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Current First Aid and CPR certification & manual handling A valid driver''s licence and access to reliable transportation ( A must) Weekend immediate availability will be highly desirable What we offer At D&C Nursing Care Pty Ltd, we are committed to supporting our employees and providing a rewarding work environment.
