The Nepean Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAHMU) is a purpose-built 10bed facility supporting adolescents aged 1217 with complex mental health challenges. The unit is part of the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYFMH) service, providing comprehensive care from adolescence through young adulthood. As Allied Health Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the Nursing Unit Manager and medical leadership to champion integrated, interdisciplinary care. You will guide and inspire senior allied health professionals and collaborate with specialist disciplines to drive innovation, excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities Lead and manage an allied health team, including clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, family therapists, art, music, dietetics, exercise physiology, speech pathology, neuropsychology, and pharmacy. Develop, coordinate and implement innovative projects and quality improvement initiatives to translate evidence into practice. Champion the delivery of integrated, therapeutic, recoveryfocused care for adolescents and their families. Manage complex clinical cases and clinical risk in an inpatient context. Support staff supervision, performance development, mentoring and fostering a culture of collaboration. Build relationships with young people, families, staff and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Qualifications Qualification a) Senior Clinical Psychologist postgraduate in Clinical Psychology, registration with AHPRA and current Senior Clinical Psychologist or eligible for Senior grading (minimum 12 months at 5th year of service). Qualification b) Social Worker Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the AASW. Qualification c) Occupational Therapist Degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA. Extensive experience in child/adolescent mental health services, including traumainformed care, family therapy, CBT for mood/anxiety, early psychosis, eating disorders. Evidence of line management, staff supervision and fostering continuous learning. Advanced mental health assessment, formulation and intervention skills. Highlevel organisational and timemanagement abilities. Commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and ethical practice, with understanding of NSW mental health and child protection laws.
