Your job is to make challenging content feel clear and achievable for young learners.What you''ll do:Teach structured GATE preparation lessons covering Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading and WritingBreak down complex ideas into simple, age-appropriate stepsCoach students on exam strategy and problem-solving techniquesBuild a positive, encouraging classroom culture where young students feel comfortable asking questionsTrack progress and help students improve week to weekWork within our teaching approach and resources (so you spend less time on admin)What we''re looking forWe''re recruiting tutors who can teach GATE preparation across all four exam components: Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, and Writing.We only recruit tutors who can teach all components and have a genuine passion for working with primary school students.What you''ll bringWe''re looking for tutors who are capable, reliable, and genuinely enjoy working with younger students.Academic requirements:Ideal ATAR: 99+ & was in GATE Program themselvesStrong analytical and reasoning skills (GATE tutoring requires sharp critical thinking)Skills and mindset:A love for working with primary school students and the patience to matchClear communication and the ability to simplify complex concepts for young learnersAn energetic, encouraging teaching style that keeps kids engagedProfessionalism, reliability, and strong organisationGenuine care for student progress and developmentExperience:Tutoring experience with primary school students is helpful, but not requiredExperience working with children (coaching, mentoring, teaching assistant roles) is valuedRecent Year 12 graduates are welcomeCommitment and compliance:Full academic year commitment (preferred)Willingness to sign a tutor contractNDA and non-compete agreement requiredMust have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check, Police Clearance & ABNLocations and scheduleIn-person tutoring at our Perth centres, including Harrisdale, Willetton / Rossmoyne, and Perth Modern School. Online options available.Most sessions run after school and on weekends.
