In this role you will be primarily responsibledelivering and maintaining high quality CAD mechanical designs to facilitate the manufacture of machines to company and customer specification.We utilise the latest Autodesk software and industry-leading drafting tools to minimise time spent creating drawings and maximise engineering efficiency. Effectively communicating across multiple stakeholders, you will deliver advice on current designs, assist with drawing interpretation and troubleshooting, and support customers on spare parts with your superior technical knowledge.Job DescriptionKey areas of responsibility include:Utilise CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor) to design layouts and machine modifications, preparegeneral arrangement and 3D models, including assemblies and sub-assembliesProducemanufacturing drawings and bill of materialsEnsure all project specifications are implemented to each solutionLead communication andworkflow between stakeholders, ensuringtimely and accurate completion of design projectsThe successful candidate will have:Minimum of 5 years post graduate mechanical design experienceMechanical background indesign of production machinery, with a focuson food and beverage highly regardedDemonstrated experience in drafting structural weldments and sheet metal components highly regardedIn depth knowledge of engineering machined components including a solid working understanding of machining tolerances and practicesProficiency in AutoDesk Inventor, AutoDesk Vault & AutocadThe ability to perform tasks autonomously with minimal supervisionDegree qualified in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering with a strong mechanical design background.The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions.
