Thats refreshing. With a hybrid split (Office/WFH)), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of our Design Management - Primary team within our Transmission line of business. About the role: This role will see you providing engineering and technical support in the delivery of transmission substations projects, with specialist knowledge on primary electrical engineering. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Applying primary technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects Developing scopes and specifications for design and construction as well as reviewing and assessing brownfield and greenfield electricity substation designs, providing technical input into staging, constructibility, operability, maintainability and safety in design Providing support to address Requests for Information as required during the project life cycle Identifying opportunities to develop new or improved standards and to ensure the timely delivery of efficient solutions of complex technical engineering designs and standards, taking ownership of process improvement initiatives and development of new methods where necessary Leading, coaching and mentoring personnel within the team and share knowledge and experience About you: You dont need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Degree in Engineering or tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience in utilities with proficiency in design and Design management, including, however may not be limited to: Terminal Station & Substation primary layouts and diagrams Conductor and equipment rating selection and/or sizing System studies pertaining to Terminal Station & Substation design Extensive knowledge of Primary electrical equipment in respect to design, performance, functionality, operation, and maintenance as used in Terminal Stations and Substations rated at up to 500kV in accordance with relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS2067) Detailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principals with extensive design and construction knowledge covering performance, functionality, operation, maintenance and risks Extensive experience working in electricity substations engineering, project delivery and/or design role If this sounds like the role for you, please apply now!
