The alliance brings the strengths of these organisations together, generating a critical mass of expertise, patient numbers and resources, underpinned by a pledge to work collaboratively towards shared goals in cancer control.There is now a fantastic opportunity for a senior strategic communications leader to drive the organisations communications strategy as it enters an exciting new phase to improve outcomes for all Victorians affected by cancer.The roleThe Senior Communications Manager reports directly to the Executive Leadership Team, and is a critical role managing the profile and reputation of the VCCC Alliance and its network.A highly strategic role, keeping the VCCC Alliance brand at the forefront. You will be responsible for the conceptualisation and delivery of multi-channel campaigns, proactive and reactive media, advocacy (including funding opportunities and announcements) member engagement and government relations.In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following:Provide strategic communications advice to the CEO, executive leadership teamLeadership support of a small communications functionManage government relations, in particular, working with members, key stakeholders and partner organisations in the lead up to the Victorian state electionManage co-branding of partner organisationsManage all forms of communication, both online and traditional to provide important updates on the Alliance and government issuesCreate and deliver strategic communications planningProject manage the VCCC Alliance annual reportLead strategic stakeholder relationshipsSkills and experienceAs Senior Communications Manager, we are looking for a proven strategic communications professional with leadership capabilities.
