The Opportunity We have seen fantastic growth over the past year and are looking for another experienced Senior SMSF Accountant who will act as a Reviewer, Mentor to Junior Staff but mainly a Client Contact to join our expanding team. This role will be a pathway to directorship for the right candidate which in turn can lead to profit share and ESOP participation. Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role include: Liaising with new leads and existing SMSF Trustees and answering their questions in a timely manner via email and phone calls, expect to be on the phone for a material portion of your day! If you don''t enjoy chatting with new clients then this isn''t the role for you. Dealing with incoming leads and assisting with initial questions in a courteous and friendly manner. Liaising with accounting firms who are white labelling their work via SMSF Australia. Providing a final review (post SMSF Manager Review) of financials and tax returns for Self Managed Super Funds to ensure ongoing quality control and emailing to client. Guide, mentor and train junior team members. Work with the Practice Manager and Directors to ensure the firm meets its targets and clients are responded to promptly. Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines. Providing SMSF compliance advice and support to clients. The role will be split roughly 25/75 between providing a final review of work (once it has gone through an initial management review) and liaising with clients. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need to possess: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum of four years'' experience in either auditing or reviewing SMSF returns (ideally with some exposure to the Class Super Platform) Ability to regularly attend the Adelaide office noting this role is Hybrid so still be part Working from Home (as all our staff do) but still requires some days onsite to work in person with the team.
