Job Description SummaryWe are seeking ideal candidates as a Farm Manager who should have detailed knowledge of farming and should be a self-starter and highly driven. Primary responsibility of this job is to provide leadership and direction in the production and maintenance operations to ensure timely and cost efficient production. Day-to-day supervision of the team to achieve all aspects of production on our leased poultry farm to include competitive performance, budgeting, planning, scheduling and maintaining compliance in a safe manner, and for compliance with all local, county, state and federal regulations as they relate to poultry production.Job DescriptionProvide day-to-day leadership necessary to support and ensure that the operation is run in a compliant and competitive mannerEstablishes, measures, and is accountable for operating and capital budgets for the operation in a manner to enable the operation to maintain competitive position in the industryResponsible for driving program compliance and competitive farm performanceMeets all facility operational plans to insure, scheduling of placements, harvest, health checks and accurate weight projections for bird movementsProgress reporting to include physical farm improvements, performance metrics and safetyEnsure that all elements of Bio-Security and Animal Care are in place and followedDevelop strategic long term plans for the operation that support competitive improvement, food safety and animal careJob QualificationsEffective people management skillsAbility to carry out manual dutiesProficient computer skillsNVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar would be desirableWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
