OverviewSt Marks College was founded in 1925 as the first university residential College in Adelaide. Comprising a vibrant and diverse community whose life comes from its members, the College today combines the best of tradition with a modern and progressive outlook and is home to an active community of around 250 students.The organisation seeks to appoint two suitably experienced board members to its skills-based board. Working alongside a highly experienced Chair, the Board provides strategic leadership and governance, guiding the College in fulfilling its vision and ensuring effective oversight of its activities.Profiles SoughtProfile 1: A CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualified finance professional with strong experience guiding long term financial and asset strategy and governance, utilising high level commercial/business acumen. The future ability and preparedness to chair the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee will also be well regarded.Profile 2: A senior and highly connected and credible tertiary education professional with the networks and capacity to bring insights and experience regarding the student development journey and academic pathways within contemporary tertiary institutions. This individual will also demonstrate a strong understanding of the context, impact and importance of residential colleges.Applications and RequirementsApplications for both positions are encouraged from experienced non-executive directors with appropriate governance (eg AICD) and technical discipline qualifications.
