As a Doctor in the Air Force, youll provide the highest standards of patient care and lead teams in a variety of unique environments. Youll be an integral part of the Defence Health System, providing a diverse range of services including the longterm monitoring of Air Force and other ADF members'' physical and mental health. medical care to military members and the civilian community providing occupational and aviation medical advice supervising, leading and managing other health roles and subordinate members maintaining medical documentation liaising with nonADF medical agencies planning, coordinating and performing aeromedical evacuations, in the tactical, operational, and strategic environments longterm monitoring of members'' physical and mental fitness assisting in natural disaster areas. As an Air Force Officer, youll also be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor, equipped with highly soughtafter management skills. Upon graduation and completion of initial military and employment training, youll enjoy a salary package starting from $138,979 per annum. Location Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley or Williamtown. For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian citizen, and be studying or have accepted an offer of placement at an Australian Medical Council accredited university for a fulltime degree at a Faculty of Medicine.
