In this role, you will provide a high standard of patientcentred care in a safe, effective, and costefficient manner, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.You will utilise your clinical expertise, communication skills, and commitment to excellence to deliver quality medical care while upholding our values of respect, hospitality, compassion, justice, and excellence.**The Position*** Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.* Adheres to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.* Acts as the patients advocate and protects the rights of individuals.* Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.* Uses resources cost effectively.* Works within the scope of nursing practice decision making framework.* Ensures documentation reflects hospital standards and meets legal requirements.* Communicates appropriate information to senior staff regarding customer and departmental issues.* Maintains and develops clinical skills in order to manage patient health problems.* Undertakes ongoing professional development, applies and shares knowledge and skills.* Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.* Participates in hospital projects/committees as required.* Initiates and participates in annual performance appraisal process.* Seeks feedback on performance and provides same to colleagues.* Responds appropriately to customer feedback and complaints, seeking assistance to resolve issues as required.* Contributes to planning, problem solving and management of change throughout the hospital to improve the quality of services.* Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.* All other reasonable duties as directed by the relevant Manager/SupervisorThe successful candidate will hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering highquality patient care that prioritises safety, satisfaction, and clinical excellence. They will possess sound knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, and codes of practice, paired with welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.We are seeking an adaptable and proactive team member who can work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary environment, using strong problemsolving skills to make sound decisions or escalate appropriately.
