As a Senior Legal Counsel Technology, Data & AI, you will be a trusted advisor responsible for delivering commercially focused legal advice across Australian Retirement Trusts products, services and operations. Reporting to the Managing Legal Counsel Technology, Data & AI, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to a broad range of technology, data & AIrelated matters including cyber security, technology stress events and crisis preparedness, SOCI Act/Privacy Act/CPS234 requirements as well as AI governance, strategy and regulatory compliance. Day To Day, You''ll Provide expert legal advice in relation to regulatory obligations in connection with SOCI Act/Privacy Act/APRA Prudential Standards. Work with the business and external providers in relation to cyber security simulations. Provide legal and strategic advice in relation to the development of governing documents in relation to ARTs adoption and use of AI. Provide advice and expertise on the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of agreements, contracts and other legal documents as well as superannuation/insurance product terms to ensure the legal rights of Australian Retirement Trust are protected. Manage costs and engagement of external legal to ensure cost-effective and accurate legal advice. This role is available as a permanent opportunity. About You Tertiary qualifications in law and current unrestricted practising certificate as an Australian Legal Practitioner. Extensive post admission experience with a law firm or financial services provider working in the area of superannuation or financial services. Knowledge of Commonwealth and State legislation as it relates to financial services, particularly superannuation, advice and life insurance. Ability to lead negotiations on a range of complex and high value matters. Experience liaising and building effective relationships with key business stakeholders, including senior stakeholders. Ability to advise and support key projects and transactions and juggle various projects at the same time. Relevant experience with CPS234 requirements or the Privacy and SOCI act is desirable.
