MacKillop Family Services is looking for committed individuals to join our Out of Home Care team, supporting children and young people with complex needs in a therapeutic residential home setting. As a Residential Youth Care Worker, youll help provide a safe, stable home environment, respond to daily and emotional needs, and empower young people to build confidence and essential life skills. This is a fulltime/parttime/casual opportunity based throughout our Warrnambool region within our Out of Home Care Program. This position reports to the Residential House Supervisor. Key Selection Criteria A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or if you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification youre also encouraged to apply. A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing. Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner. Highly developed capacity for emotional selfregulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.
