Corryong Health is a fully accredited small rural health service, located in the picturesque north-eastern corner of Victoria, just 120 kilometres east of Wodonga, Corryong Health offers a comprehensive range of services, including urgent care, acute care, residential aged care, and home and community-based services. We are seeking Associate Nurse Unit Manager Nurses to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. About The Role The position requires the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to work with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide leadership and management for acute and residential services within a broad-based integrated model of health care service provision. Key Responsibilities Leadership Assistant management role of the serviceLeadership, coordination and management of staffParticipate, as a line manager, in Corryong Health organisational development programs and processesPromote and initiate best practice and evidenced based practices within the settingKnowledge of budgetary and financial management of the acute and residential servicesMeeting legislative and regulatory requirementsMaintaining own clinical competenciesParticipation in quality processes Clinical Care Plan and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the multidisciplinary health care team and patients/ residents/ clients using effective interpersonal communication and the values of Corryong HealthProvide high level communication skills that include interpersonal, verbal, written, computer and ability to work cohesively as an active member of the multidisciplinary teamThe Model of Team STEPPS relating to communication and resolution of conflict will be observed and worked towards on every shiftCarry out nursing practice in accordance with Legislation, Common Law and Code of Ethics and Conduct; and act to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or unprofessional conductProvide direct and indirect supervision to Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care Workers with regards to safe medication management and best practiceThe model of team nursing within Corryong Health is based on the Active Service Model and Ageing in PlaceMust adhere to all legislation, Acts, protocols and policies relating to medication managementDemonstrated commitment to professional development, including Performance and Development process and clinical supervision; undertaking annual mandatory training as provided by CQ Nurse; and providing or facilitating appropriate training and ongoing support to students Requirements: To join our team, you must: Tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency as a Registered Nurse Division 1Broad generalist nursing experience in acute care with current First Line Emergency Care Accreditation or willingness to undertake sameKnowledge of the Aged Care Standards and ability to provide evidence based and clinical effective aged careDemonstrated knowledge of, and alignment with organisational Vision, Mission and Values statementsWillingness to actively promote and work within the spirit of the organisations vision and value statementsGood communication skills and a commitment to teamworkDemonstrated commitment to establishing a continuum of care model for patients and residentsBasic computer skillsWillingness to contribute to the development of policies and procedures; the quality improvement process and research projects within available resources and expertiseA commitment to continued professional developmentA commitment to working within a Continuous Quality Management FrameworkA commitment to providing excellent client centred careDemonstrates drive, commitment, and resilience, within a framework that highly values personal and staff wellbeing What We Offer Employee Assistance Program: Support when you need it.Ongoing Professional Development: Grow your skills and advance your career.Salary Packaging Options: Maximize your take-home pay.Supportive and Innovative Team Environment: Be part of a progressive and caring community.Relocation Assistance: We offer support to help you make Corryong your new home.
