Job Opportunity Join AWS Professional Services in Australia and New Zealand as a Software Engineer specializing in software engineering and application development. This role offers autonomy to design innovative solutions that impact customers and allows growth across diverse technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and develop cloudnative solutions using AWS services, including handson software development, architecture design, and implementation of best practices. Provide solution implementations including AI/ML, Agentic AI, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices while collaborating with customers. Build and implement distributed computing solutions across AWS environments, including new applications, modernizing existing ones, and innovating on behalf of customers. Guide customer and partner teams in software engineering practices, code reviews, architectural decisions, and AWS service implementation, ensuring quality and security. Develop innovative solutions using AWS AI/ML services, building AIenabled applications, implementing Agent architectures, and creating reusable components. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience. 5+ years of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies experience. 5+ years of handson development with modern programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, .NET). Experience with IaC (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and eventdriven patterns. Preferred Qualifications Strong background in API design and implementation (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and identity protocols (OpenID Connect, OAuth2.0). Knowledge of vector databases, retrievalaugmented generation, and embedding pipelines. Understanding of AI agent architectures, development patterns, and multiagent systems. Handson experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AmazonECS, Kubernetes). Strong proficiency in observability and monitoring tools (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana).
