About The Role We are looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel / Light Vehicle Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain a range of dieselpowered and light vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel and petrol engines, and related vehicle systems. Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and safety checks. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Replace worn or faulty parts, including brakes, transmissions and fuel systems. Conduct road tests to verify repairs and performance. Carry out monthly, quarterly & yearly inspections as required by the Department of Planning, Transport & Infrastructure. Maintain accurate service records and job documentation. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Keep the workshop clean, organised and stocked with necessary tools and parts. Skills & Qualifications Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle / Diesel) or equivalent. Proven experience as a diesel or light vehicle mechanic. Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current drivers licence (LR, HR or MR licence desirable).
