Key Responsibilities Maintenance Duties Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings. Perform preventative maintenance on switchboards, lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems. Test and tag equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot faults in wiring, control systems, motors, and commercial appliances. Respond promptly to urgent service calls and implement effective solutions. Construction Duties Install and commission electrical systems in new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs. Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and specifications. Install switchboards, wiring, conduits, lighting, power outlets, and control systems. Work collaboratively with builders, contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines. General Responsibilities Ensure all works comply with electrical codes, building standards, and occupational health and safety requirements. Accurately complete required documentation (job sheets, compliance certificates, timesheets). Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition. Deliver professional and courteous customer service on client sites. Participate in ongoing training and upskilling as required. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent qualification). Current WA Electricians Licence. Solid understanding of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and electrical compliance standards. Demonstrated experience in both commercial maintenance and construction projects. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. White Card (Construction Induction). Current manual drivers licence. Desirable: Experience with fire detection, security, data, and communication systems. Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licences. CPR & Low Voltage Rescue certification. Experience in occupied commercial environments (schools, hospitals, offices). #J-18808-Ljbffr
