Switchroom Electricians (SA)The PositionThis is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working on large-scale industrial projects in a workshop build environment.You''ll be involved in every stage of the process, from reading detailed electrical drawings to wiring and installing switchgear, lighting and control systems, ensuring each Switchroom is built to the highest quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of system components, framework, and foundations.Component in conducting first and second fix electrical with little to no supervision.Cable containment installation (i.e., tray and basket).Electrical testing of Switchrooms before F.A.T.Installation and connectivity of switching gear into a Switchroom.Ensuring all work complies with safety and electrical standardsThe CandidateElectrical Trade QualificationsCurrent CPR and LV Rescue certificateThe ability to work well within a team-based environmentKnowledge of electrical standardsExperience withfirst and second fix electrical.The successful applicant will preferably have:Worked in a team environment previously.Strong communication skills.TroubleshootingExperience with using general hand tools.The ability to achieve a quality standard of work and strive for continuous improvement.ScheduleFull-time and casual positions available: Monday Friday & with overtime.Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).What we can offer:LAI Group encourages a diverse and inclusive culture where your hard work and input does not go unnoticed.
