Berri Estates Winery part of Vinarchy is the largest winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing around 220,000 tonnes of grapes annually, representing roughly one third of South Australias total grape crush. A cornerstone of the Riverland region, the site includes a cellar door, winery, and a stateoftheart bottling and warehousing facility, producing more than 100 million litres of wine each year. About the Role Were seeking a Shift Manager to join the Vinarchy ANZ Operations team at the Berri Estates Packaging Facility, supporting the daytoday packaging of our still and sparkling wines. In this role, you will apply strong technical expertise and sound judgment while working closely with planning, quality and lab teams to ensure consistent and compliant packaging. Youll champion safety, regulatory and WHS requirements, foster a collaborative and forwardthinking culture, and identify opportunities to enhance processes and drive innovation. As a handson leader, you will build team capability and contribute to ongoing operational excellence. This role offers a competitive salary of $115,717. What Youll Do Support the Packaging Manager in delivering safe, efficient and highquality production across all shifts, consistently meeting KPIs, standards and specifications. Drive operational excellence through Lean initiatives, continuous improvement and strict adherence to SOPs. Contribute to operational planning and resource allocation while upholding strong hygiene, safety, housekeeping and compliance standards. Support the development and performance of the Packaging Operations team, fostering high performance, efficiency, accountability and a positive culture. Enhance communication and collaboration across the department and wider business through productive meetings, onetoones and visual management. What Youll Bring 5+ years experience in packaging operations and 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of work health & safety, quality and food safety requirements. Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to deliver innovative, practical solutions. Excellent planning, organisation and Microsoft Office capabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships and lead teams at all levels. Reliable, punctual and composed under pressure, consistently demonstrating professionalism. Why Join Us?
