THIS IS A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION THIS POSITION IS BASED IN PEMBERTON APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON MONDAY, 23 MARCH 2026 The Warren Region is home to the wellknown DEntrecasteaux and Walpole Nornalup national parks as well as the recently created Walpole Wilderness area and Walpole Nornalup Inlets Marine Park. Many other parks and reserves as well as significant areas of State forest make up the majority of the land that we manage. The landscape of the region includes a diversity of coastal heath, tall karri forests to open jarrah and wandoo woodlands to the remnant Tingle forest. The region has wetlands of international and national significance, pristine estuaries and wild rivers. Our key service deliverables are nature conservation, parks and visitor services, sustainable forest management, and fire management. We are seeking an Operations Officer Conservation to join our Donnelly District team. Responsibilities Assist with the management and implementation of conservation works programs and operations in the Donnelly District, with an emphasis on feral management and the Western Shield monitoring program. Monitors and reports on operations. Liaise with community, key stakeholders and community groups in a positive and informed manner. Assist in the preparation and delivery of allocated works programs to agreed standards and timeframes. Undertake an active role in prescribed burning and bushfire suppression operations. In this role, you will be leading others to help drive positive change. Selection Criteria Some experience in the operational implementation of works programs associated with natural land management or a closely related field or technical area, with a preference for experience and knowledge of feral animal control practices including the use of firearms. Evidence of good interpersonal skills and experience in effective liaison with external organisations, including local authorities, commercial operators, private companies, other government agencies, stakeholders (including indigenous) and community interest groups. Some knowledge and experience in working collaboratively in a team environment and independently, working within budget and resource constraints and delivering outcomes within scheduled timeframes. Evidence of good written communication skills including report writing and the ability to use computer software (including GIS) for data analysis, and database management.
