Working within the IT team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation, reliability and optimisation of the data platform. You will design and implement data ingestion pipelines and ELT processes, with a strong emphasis on API-driven ingestion. The role will also establish and operate a Medallionstyle architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), transforming raw data into BIready and analyticsready models that support reporting and insights across the business. This is a permanent, full time role.As a senior member of the team, you will also establish engineering standards, mentor team members, and support the ongoing improvement of our modern cloud data platform.About youYou are an experienced Senior Data Engineer who brings strong technical expertise and are comfortable working across both technical teams and business stakeholders to prioritise data ingestion and deliver highquality data products.To be successful in this role you will have:Strong experience building data ingestion pipelines and ELT processes, particularly APIdriven ingestionDemonstrated experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or DatabricksStrong programming capability in SQL and PythonExperience implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)Experience establishing engineering standards and mentoring or uplifting technical capability within a teamExposure to DevOps practices such as version control, CI/CD pipelines, or workflow orchestration (desirable)Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and business stakeholdersBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related disciplineCurrent Drivers LicenceNational Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)About the benefitsYoull become part of an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming Western Australian organisation passionately committed to making a meaningful impact in the local community.
