The school currently has an enrolment of 229 students, with 53% of students identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Strategically, and aligned with an equity agenda, the school has a clear and sustained focus on explicit teaching, refined assessment and high expectations. Students in Stage 6 engage in the Lachlan Access Program, where teachers work collaboratively across schools to deliver curriculum using a blended learning approach that integrates online and face-toface instruction. Condobolin High School offers a broad range of extracurricular activities designed to foster student engagement, community involvement, and personal development. The school has strong partnerships, particularly with local businesses and cultural organisations, which provide students with valuable work experience and pathways beyond school. Specific Selection Criteria Deep knowledge, established practice and proven experience in leading and supporting teachers to enhance explicit teaching pedagogical practices and engaged, meaningful learning across the curriculum. Demonstrated leadership in advancing and supporting initiatives that authentically promote a high expectations culture across the school environment. Demonstrated experience to meet key responsibilities, managing and prioritising daily operational decisions to meet the needs of all stakeholders across the school. Proven ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with staff, parents, students, and the wider community, positively partnering with all stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes for students, including the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community. General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department''s Aboriginal education policy. Conditions This is an above centrally identified permanent position established through school funds. The successful candidates continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of funding, the ongoing requirement of the position and the educational needs of the school.
