As a Volunteer Community Transport Driver, you will: Ensure the safe and comfortable transport of clients using a community transport vehicle. Destinations may include: doctors appointments, hospital/medical appointment, aged day care, social outings and shopping. Assist clients with mobility, i.e., walking or getting in or out of the vehicle or with seating. About You We are seeking drivers who are good communicators and passionate about supporting the local community. To succeed in this role, you will: Have a well-developed understanding of the needs of Community Transport users including people with disabilities, frail aged, carers and children Knowledge of the Deniliquin Local Government area Demonstrated history of reliability and punctualityBe willing to complete a full health assessment (the cost will be reimbursed by Interach) Provide driver history Have (or be willing to obtain) a current unrestricted drivers licence with a Passenger Transport Code T (NSW) Undertake a criminal record check Have (or be willing to obtain) a current Working With Children Check Have clearance to work in aged care (must not be listed on the Aged Care Register of Banning Order) Have (or be willing to obtain) a NDIS Worker Screening Check Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current First Aid and CPR certificate Intereach prides itself on supporting our people.
