Position Details Max term FullTime position until 30 Dec 2026 based at Sale / Bairnsdale Salary: SCHADS Level 5 + super. Increase fortnight takehome pay with access to $15,900 salary packaging benefits! 10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning Closing date: 8 Apr 2026 Location: Sale, VIC, 3850 Division: Child, Youth & Families About the Program The Family Services Program supports families experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact parenting, family life and childrens wellbeing. Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and homebased supports. Your Role In a typical day as a Family Services Practitioner you might: Use a creative approach to arrange a visit with a reluctant new family Build rapport to carry out a strengths and risk assessment in the clients home or childs school Review with your supervisor plans to support a familys goals Consult with Child Protection Discuss a difficult case with your team members in a Reflective Practice meeting Benefits of working at Uniting Our work isnt easy, but it matters. Qualifications & Experience A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline An understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and Best Interest Principles Demonstrated experience in undertaking risk assessments and planning appropriate intervention strategies A strengthsbased, childcentered approach to case management Capacity to work flexibly and innovatively to meet the needs of families, children and young people How to Apply Click APPLY to submit your interest.
