Managing a large-scale mixed farming operation, the business produces both cropping and livestock outputs across thousands of hectares. With a strong focus on sustainable farming practices, modern technology, and operational efficiency, they are committed to producing high-quality food and fibre while continually improving productivity and innovation across their farming enterprises. About The Opportunity The primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day operation of the livestock enterprise while assisting across broader farm activities when required. Working alongside a small and experienced team, some of your responsibilities will include: Assisting with livestock handling including mustering, drafting, yard work and general animal husbandry Monitoring livestock health and supporting feeding, lambing and flock management activities Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment where required Maintaining fences, water systems, yards and other farm infrastructure Supporting seasonal farm operations across cropping and general farm work Ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a clean and organised work environment This is a hands-on role within a mixed farming operation, offering a varied workload across livestock and general farm activities. About You The successful candidate will have: Previous experience working on a livestock or mixed farming operation Practical livestock handling skills and understanding of animal husbandry Experience operating farm machinery and equipment (desirable) Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience working with sheep enterprises and large-scale farming operations will be highly regarded.
