Key Responsibilities Promptly carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance of manufacturing plant and associated equipment with minimal supervision. Undertake non-structural welding repairs. Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and instructions, in particular safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. To work as part of a team committed to implementing the principles and philosophy of customer service and quality products. Maintain tooling for pressing and shearing operations. Carry out fault finding and diagnostic analysis, including overhaul, of plant and equipment, as necessary. Be available to enact repairs or maintenance in the event of breakdowns outside normal hours. Ensuring manufactured products meet tolerances. Contributes to the team environment by performing other duties as required. Budget / Cost Control Adheres to policies and procedures that ensure effective cost management of expenditure. Process Improvement Identify and participate in opportunities for improvement which benefits company to improve its operations through your supervisor. Quality Assurance Strictly adhere to Companys QHSE procedures. Work Health & Safety Ensures that the work health and safety requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures. Participate in QHSE training and initiatives and communicate to crews through pre-starts and toolbox meetings. Attend safety inductions and safety related training as required by operations and provide a copy of all certificates to your supervisor. Attend all relevant operational training and complete competencies as required by your role and operations and provide certificate and/ or licence to your supervisor. Report any Health and Safety Related Incidents, Injuries, Near misses, hazards and environmental hazards to the nominated Safety Rep, Leading hand, Foreman or Supervisor and participate in any investigations as required. Keep work areas clean and free of hazards during the shift Wear PPE at all times as required for the work being conducted. Report any PPE or equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced. Proactively drive a safety culture in the organisation. Risk assessments conducted and communicated to all. Ensure the housekeeping is of good standard. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in similar role in similar industry. Safety Awareness Course. Good technical knowledge of Manufacturing or Production processes. Working at heights ticket.
