From a planning and development perspective, the city has a rich heritage fabric which is balanced with medium and high-density residential growth. An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an Urban Planner to join our Development & Regulatory Services Unit and contribute towards shaping our vibrant City through high-quality, well-designed development. The position will be important in helping to achieve the Citys vision by facilitating development outcomes that respect the heritage and natural environment of the City. The Role Reporting to the Manager, Development & Regulatory Services, and working closely with the Senior Urban Planners, the Urban Planner is responsible for the assessment of Development Applications, together with the assessment and consideration of Outdoor Dining and Trading Permits and Liquor Licence Applications. The delivery of accurate and timely advice to the Manager, Development & Regulatory Services, internal stakeholders, Council Assessment Panel, development industry and community will be a key component of the role, together with assistance in compliance and enforcement matters.
