Senior Finance Business Partner Job no: 505239 Work type: Permanent Location: South Brisbane Categories: Finance About the role Mater Hospital Brisbane (MHB) has an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team in a permanent, fulltime position based in our South Brisbane campus. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager MPHS & MHB, this opportunity is for those looking to leverage their existing business partnering expertise, bringing knowledge and experience into a high functioning, multiskilled team and to join a market leader in healthcare. Salary range: $139,436 $149,640 per annum plus superannuation and access to notforprofit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! What you''ll be doing As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic financial leadership, supporting the Finance and Operations Manager to deliver highquality business partnering and management accounting services to key stakeholders. Key responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop Finance Business Partners and Assistant Finance Business Partners Coordinate accurate and timely monthly divisional, facility and corporate performance reporting Lead facilities budgeting and forecasting processes within activitybased funding constraints Prepare fullyear forecasts, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance Lead or actively participate in performance review meetings, providing insights and financial advice Maintain oversight of facilities funding arrangements and sustainable resource allocation Provide senior financial support to Facilities Executives, including General Managers Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships Lead and support business case development and capital investment planning, including expenditure tracking and reporting Support review and negotiation of contracts and grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and compliance requirements Identify and communicate financial risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes Deliver financial management education and capability development for cost centre managers About you To succeed in this role, you will hold relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications and be eligible for current membership of a recognised Australian accounting body (CA/CPA). You will also bring: Demonstrated leadership and coordination of management accounting services within a large, complex organisation (health preferred) Proven experience developing and mentoring highperforming teams Strong communication, negotiation, consultation and change management skills Ability to provide clear, strategic financial advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders Strong analytical, strategic and problemsolving skills, with experience supporting complex service planning and activitybased environments Experience in seniorlevel business partnering and contributing to strategic decisionmaking Excellent presentation and reportwriting capability Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders while demonstrating organisational values Highlevel proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) Experience using reporting and analytics tools such as TM1 and Power BI to generate insights and support decisionmaking Why join us?
