Operating within a contemporary product and service delivery model, the team is modernising platforms, strengthening enterprise data foundations and enabling world-class research and digital experiences across the University. This role will play a key leadership role in shaping the technologies, services and partnerships that underpin Griffiths research ecosystem and specialised digital platforms. Job Description As the IT Director - Research, Specialised & Data Foundations, you will provide strategic leadership across a critical domain within Digital Solutions, enabling the technologies, platforms and partnerships that support Griffiths research, specialised systems and enterprise data capabilities. Heres how youll make it matter: Provide strategic leadership for the Research, Specialised and Data Foundations domain, ensuring technology services deliver measurable value for research, academic and institutional priorities. Shape enterprise information and data governance practices that strengthen data integrity, accessibility and decisionmaking across the University. Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders, acting as a key entry point into Digital Solutions and aligning digital capabilities with organisational needs. Drive innovation and continuous improvement across platforms, services and delivery models to support Griffiths evolving digital and research ecosystem. Lead and develop highperforming teams while overseeing demand planning, financial stewardship and service performance within the domain. You will also have: Extensive senior leadership experience delivering complex IT services, platforms or digital capabilities within large and diverse organisations. Demonstrated expertise in enterprise data strategy, information governance or data platform environments. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate organisational priorities into strategic digital initiatives. Strong commercial and financial management capability, including oversight of budgets, forecasting and resource allocation. Postgraduate qualifications in information technology, computer science, data or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. What we can offer This is a fixed term, full time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multisite University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range This position will be offered on an Individual Contract with a competitive salary package negotiated with the successful candidate.
