OverviewMinara Resources has an opportunity for a skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our team located at our Murrin Murrin Operations.Minara Resources is Australias largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people.Minara Resources is wholly owned by Glencore, one of the worlds largest globally diversified natural resources companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities.The RoleThe successful person will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive breakdown maintenance work in our process plant. You will have experience with a wide variety of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fixed plant piping, valves and be familiar with laser alignment procedures. Previous experience with high pressure and high temperature Autoclaves will also be an advantage for our Refinery Area. Ideally you will have experience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks and related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for our Ore Leach area.About YouThis role would suit a driven Mechanical Fitter with previous experience working in a similar hydrometallurgical process plant who is looking for job security and career opportunities.Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)A current and valid manual Australian Drivers licenceProven experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumpsProven experience working with fixed plant piping, valves, and laser alignmentExperience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps.
