Overview Are you a guy who''s interested in leading a monthly discussion group for men? Do you like engaging with ideas? Do you like meeting new people? The Tough Guy Book Club is looking for men interested in hosting a monthly chapter of our club. Responsibilities Be reliable, have good communication habits and a willingness to engage with new people. You do NOT need to be a big reader or have a wide understanding of literature. Facilitate monthly meetings: foster discussion around a broad range of topics, from history to masculinity to pop culture, and anything else raised by the month''s book. Ensure meetings are healthy and interesting conversations, encouraging participation from new or quiet members and diffusing over-talkative or disrespectful behaviour. Available on the first Wednesday night of each month, across the country, from 7pm for approximately 3-4 hours. Expect to spend 1-2 hours across the month promoting the event and communicating with the club''s coordinating team. Qualifications / Requirements Must be over 18 and open to all men; no specific literacy requirements. Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months. Type of work: Companionship & Social Support, Library Services, Music & Entertainment. Policies No misogynists, homophobes, or racists need apply.
