Your work will help ensure accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.In this role, you will:Support month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, reporting and variance analysisComplete balance sheet reconciliations and follow up outstanding itemsReview and validate supplier and expenditure data, ensuring timely and accurate paymentsCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve queries and maintain smooth financial workflowsAssist with documentation required for tax and compliance activitiesContribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiativesHelp maintain accurate site and property information to support financial reportingWhat Type of Person Will Be SuccessfulTo be successful in this role, you''ll bring a solid foundation in accounting, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Youll be comfortable working with numbers, timelines and stakeholders, and motivated to grow your skills in a busy, supportive team.You will ideally have:Tertiary qualifications in Accounting2+ years experience as an assistant accountant or in a similar accounting roleExperience with month-end tasks such as journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliationsStrong MS Excel skills (Power Query experience is a bonus)The capability to work independently as well as collaborativelyConfidence working within deadlines and reporting cyclesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholdersA proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine desire to improve processesWe believe everyone leads, no matter what role they are in.
