This volunteer opportunity invites you to help make a meaningful difference by assisting Bethanie staff and engaging socially with residents during bus outings. Our staff organise the trips; all we need is your time, smile and willingness to help others.ResponsibilitiesAssist Bethanie staff and engage socially with residents during bus outings.Help ensure residents are comfortable and safe during transport and activities.Locations & TimeBethanie Joondanna Tuesday mornings, 9:30am 11:30am.Bethanie Subiaco every Tuesday weekly, and Wednesdays (fortnightly), 10:00am 3:00pm, and Friday mornings.RequirementsVolunteers need to be physically fit; you may be required to push residents in wheelchairs, sometimes over long distances.Ability to interact positively with residents and staff to support social interaction and physical activity.TrainingVolunteers undertake online Infection Control and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards training.All volunteers receive an orientation at site prior to commencement and further training when required.CommitmentRegular commitment more than 6 months.Time Required: Bethanie Joondanna on Tuesday mornings 9:30am 11:30am; Bethanie Subiaco on Tuesdays or Wednesdays (fortnightly) from 10:00am 3:00pm, and/or Friday mornings.
