In 2026, the school will begin to operate its Creative Humanities program from our new ECU City Campus while maintaining and expanding operations at the Joondalup and South-West (regional) campuses and building our program at the newly opened ECU Sri Lanka campus.About the OpportunityAre you passionate and have a deep commitment to the supervision and teaching of the next generation of psychologists? We are looking to appoint you to supervise and train our Professional and Clinical Psychology students.We are looking for a passionate psychology educator with great skills in student clinical supervision and the ability also to teach in classroom settings to continue ECUs great reputation for producing outstanding psychology graduates. As a clinical supervisor you will have primary responsibility for the day-to-date supervision of students, working with colleagues also engaged in supervision on a casual basis. We value your own commitment to maintaining a psychological practice with a fractional appointment available via negotiation to ensure the best fit between your needs and ours. Depending on the applications received there may be more than one part-time appointment available.You will mainly be providing supervision to postgraduate psychology students undertaking placements at our ECU Wellbeing Service Centres (Wanneroo and Yanchep), while also contributing to the teaching of these students in preparatory classes at our Joondalup Campus. You will work with Director, PSC and have close working relationships to the course coordinators of our various psychology postgraduate degrees and the Schools Work-Integrated Learning team who support placement operations. We see this role as providing career opportunities to develop a more senior academic role with a focus on clinical education in the years ahead.This role will be based at the Joondalup Campus and will support service delivery across our northern PSC clinic locations.About youTo be considered for this position, you will need to meet current registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology with no conditions, undertakings, or reprimands; have current Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor Status, with approval to supervise provisional psychologists during an accredited higher degree program; and recent experience in supervising provisionally registered psychologists.You will need to demonstrate, based on past achievement and potential for future development, that you can:supervise effectively for the clinical and professional training of psychologists;teach with a student-centred approach that facilitates successful learning;engage with industry and community to achieve excellence in clinical education;develop and implement innovations that improve clinical psychology education;exercise scholarly leadership consistent with your level of appointment; andwork productively and collegially to achieve the goals of the school and university.It is desirable, but not essential, that you also have either a Doctor of Philosophy or a Doctor of Psychology qualification.You will be expected to demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the Universitys values of integrity, respect, rational inquiry, personal excellence, and courage.Benefits of working at ECUAt ECU were committed to fostering a positive employment experience and believe this is fundamental to the success and satisfaction of our employees.
