QUALTECH (TAS) provides Construction Materials Testing (CMT) including concrete, asphalt, soil and aggregate testing, from our four locations across the state: Derwent Park, Leslie Vale, Breadalbane and Burnie.QUALTECH (TAS) is wholly owned by Hazell Bros. Our purpose is to be the supplier of choice by working collaboratively and creating value for our customers and communities.We are seeking a Concrete Tester to contribute and assist with the growth and reliability of our business.This position supports our Northern Operations team (ideally working at our Breadalbane laboratory, but we will also consider works for our Burnie laboratory). Key duties may include, but are not limited to:Visiting client project construction sites to collect concrete samplesCleaning and maintenance of field sampling equipmentEnsure accurate and timely recording of informationCollaborating and communicating with concrete batchers and customersDo you have experience with concrete? Have you been a formworker, finisher, driver, pumpy and are looking for a career change?No experience necessary, training provided on the job, but you will need to have:Strong commitment to Safety 1st Always WorksStrong work ethic, be reliable and have the ability to work independently and manage own timeStrong communication / coordination skills and an attention to detailCurrent unrestricted driver licence (manual). Regional travel is essential for the role and a company pool vehicle will be provided.Capability of undertaking physical work, compliant with applicable PPE requirementsFlexible with working hours. QUALTECH typically operates a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 16:30 however some weekend, early/late starts and overnight work may be required from time to time.Tell us what works for you Full time, Part Time or Casual.
