Staff Specialist (Consultant Psychiatrist) - Adult Mental Health Services Townsville, Queensland, Australia Permanent Full-time or Part-time Remuneration package up to AUD $534,040 p.a.(f/t) + benefits Advance your psychiatry career in tropical North Queensland Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) invites applications from Consultant Psychiatrists to join our Adult Mental Health Service Group. About the Role You will provide specialist psychiatric care across Adult Community Mental Health Teams and/or the Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU). The position includes opportunities for service development, teaching, supervision, and research. Key responsibilities include: Delivering comprehensive psychiatric and somatic assessments, risk assessments, and evidencebased treatment planning Providing clinical leadership and supervision within multidisciplinary teams Working collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies Contributing to registrar and medical student education, as well as research activity within THHS Participating in the afterhours oncall roster Working towards ECT accreditation and contributing to ECT service delivery Why Townsville? What We Offer Remuneration package up to AUD $534,040 p.a.
