As a Chef at The South Corner cafe and restaurant, you will be responsible for creating and preparing highquality dishes that meet our customers'' expectations. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain our high standards of food quality and presentation.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and restaurant standardsEnsure all dishes are presented in an attractive and appetizing mannerMonitor food stock levels and place orders when necessaryTrain and supervise junior kitchen staffMaintain a clean and organized kitchen environmentFollow all food safety and hygiene regulationsCollaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specialsAssist with menu planning and cost controlHandle and store food products in a safe and efficient mannerAdhere to all company policies and proceduresRequirementsProven experience as a Chef in a similar roleExtensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methodsExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresAbility to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong leadership and communication skillsAttention to detail and a passion for creating highquality dishesCertificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)Food safety and hygiene certificationAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsCompetitive salary of $73,000 to $76,000 per year plus superOpportunity for career growth and developmentA supportive and friendly work environmentIf you are a talented and motivated Chef looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
