We put the customer and our community at the centre of all that we do, ensuring our services are efficient and accessible.Tertiary students are provided with practical work experience opportunities to observe and perform tasks under supervision, to complete the mandatory work placement component of their Bachelor of Youth Work course. Tertiary students studying toward a qualification in Bachelor of Youth Work can apply for and must outline the placement requirements as set out by the educational provider. The placement will be unpaid.ResponsibilitiesSupport Youth Services to review and refine current marketing processes, including branding, communication workflows, and engagement strategies.Evaluate other councils'' social media presence and prepare a short report with recommendations on how Hume Youth Services can strengthen its own digital engagement.Develop shortform video content (e.g., reels) in collaboration with various teams to promote programs, events, and youth initiatives.Create engaging social media posts, flyers, and digital assets aligned with our brand and audience needs.>Assist with content scheduling, analytics monitoring, and engagement tracking across platforms.Contribute ideas for new marketing campaigns to reach diverse groups of young people in Hume.Capture photos and videos at programs/events, where appropriate, to support ongoing content creation.Build confidence in communication, teamwork, time management, and problemsolving through practical, realworld experience.Participate in team meetings and planning sessions, offering creative input and learning from experienced youth workers.Student RequirementsHold a current Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing.Be currently enrolled at RMIT University.Be undertaking a major or specialisation in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline.Have basic knowledge of social media platforms.Additional InformationResume: The application will require a resume.
