You will primarily support a Partner and Special Counsel, together with the support of a Junior Legal Secretary. The team is recognised for its expertise in managing workers compensation claims, work injury damages, and workers compensation recoveries in the areas of construction, health and education. This is a fastpaced role where no two days are the same, and you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of matters for leading Australian insurers.ResponsibilitiesOpening new matters and archiving completed filesConducting conflict searchesManaging solicitor diaries and scheduling appointmentsLiaising with clients, Courts/Tribunals, other law firms, and third partiesPreparing and filing court documents, including subpoenas and tender bundlesDrafting and amending routine correspondenceCollating briefs for Counsel and expertsElectronic and hard copy filing, including a high volume of electronic filing (iManage experience highly regarded)Monthly billing and invoicing (experience with Aderant/Expert Billing highly regarded)General administrative supportAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will ideally have 34 years'' experience in a fastpaced private practice legal environment.
