OverviewKitchen Attendant | InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach role at IHG Hotels & Resorts. Set to open following a multi-million-dollar transformation, on the shores of Coogee Beach, the hotel will redefine coastal luxury when it debuts in late 2025. The role supports our Culinary and Restaurants & Bars teams to deliver high levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the stores area and kitchen, receiving and distributing goods, and upholding hygienic standards.ResponsibilitiesPlan and organise daily tasks for best productivity.Follow all safety, hygiene, and food handling rules.Work as a team and communicate clearly with all departments.Keep kitchens and storage areas clean and well-stocked.Help with food prep and maintain equipment.Support F&B and other departments when needed.Report hazards and support eco-friendly practices.What We Need From YouLook smart wear your uniform with pride.Great communication skills, with the ability to provide training, feedback and guidance to the stewarding team.At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with good interpersonal and leadership skills.The ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 30 kilograms.Experience working in a stewarding environment servicing multiple food & beverage outlets/venues; exposure to an open kitchen environment is advantageous.Good time management and organizational skills; rostering experience is an advantage.What You Can Expect From UsWe provide a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits designed to help you live your best work life including laundry for business attire, generous room discounts, and other discounts programs along with strong training and development opportunities.
