The Group is fully supported by our Technical Facilities based in Auckland NZ and the USA.Our focus is on creating high performing teams, improving processes and producing high quality products.About the roleThe Production Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery within the plant to ensure smooth production operations. The role is crucial in achieving production targets while adhering to safety, quality, and food safety standards.Adhere to and drive the vision, mission, and values statement.Key Areas of FocusEfficient operation and maintenance of blending and drying machineryCompliance with safety and quality standardsThe Production Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining plant machinery, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards.Collaboration with the production and quality teamsWhat you''ll doKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESHealth and SafetyFollow all Work Health & Safety (WHS) protocols and collaborate with the WHS Manager.Ensure compliance with company safety policies and WHS legislative requirements.Regularly communicate with the H&S team to maintain a safe working environment.Set up, operate, and monitor machinery for blending and drying processes to ensure efficient production and product quality. Perform troubleshooting and adjustments on machinery to meet production targets.Conduct routine inspections and report mechanical issues to the Plant Manager.Ensure proper handling of mixers, conveyors, dryers, and other equipment for optimal production.Quality ControlMaintain product quality by adhering to company standards and food safety regulations.Perform quality checks and assist in identifying product non-conformances.Keep accurate records of production batches, including ingredient quantities, production times, and any issues encountered.Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure proper handling of materials, ingredients, and finished products.Production SupportCollaborate with the Production Supervisor for a smooth transition between shifts.Monitor production processes, adjusting settings to maintain product consistency and quality.Participate in daily toolbox meetings to ensure clear communication between departments.Assist in coordinating production schedules to meet operational and customer demands.QualificationsExperience in Food Safety and Quality in a manufacturing environment.Valid forklift license.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. #J-18808-Ljbffr
