Our responsibility is central to our operations.As a good community member, ALDI strives to make a positive local impact and support those in need through community partnerships.We promote healthy diets and fresh food through our advertising, supporting our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable products.In 2022, ALDI increased its waste diversion rate to 82% and continues to implement new programs to reduce waste further.Our Australian farmers source 100% of our fresh meat, eggs, milk, salmon, and poultry, and 97% of our fresh produce.All our stores, warehouses, and offices are powered by 100% renewable electricity.78% of our products now feature the Australasian Recycling Label, and we''ve replaced plastic packaging with paper for batteries, avoiding approximately 17 tonnes of plastic waste annually.Since 2020, all paper and pulp-based packaging in our range are FSC, PEFC, or 70% recycled.ALDI Australia actively works to eliminate modern slavery and exploitation in our supply chains.Our sustainability efforts have been recognized by awards such as the ''Green Supermarket of the Year'' at The Finder Green Awards and awards for sustainable seafood, retailing, and products in 2023.We are phasing out plastic shopping bags in favor of paper options across all stores.ALDI has removed nearly 2,000 tonnes of plastic packaging and achieved a 10% reduction in our fresh produce packaging in one year.We aim to send zero waste to landfill by 2025, with a focus on eliminating food waste by 2023 through expanded waste segregation, increased food donations, and closed-loop recycling initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
