Automation EngineerWould you like to work at the largest Fulfillment Center (FC) in the Southern Hemisphere and the first Amazon Robotics Site in Australia?The focus of the Automation Engineer role is to fault find, troubleshoot and improve controls solutions for automated material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, scales, HumanMachine Interface (HMI) systems, and control cabinets. The AE will also provide training to the Engineering Technicians on device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Key Job ResponsibilitiesBe the site level Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all controls systems and sensors within the building. Work in a handson manner to actively monitor, fault find and repair systems to provide high equipment availability to internal customers.Train technicians in the basics of control systems fault finding to raise the level of knowledge within the site.Work within the AU/EU Controls network to enhance the capability to monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and provide visualization and data to internal customers by means of troubleshooting and prioritizing.Actively participate in or own continuous improvement projects coordinated by the AU/EU Controls network.Work with IT, EU Controls Engineering and Operations Engineering to ensure all systems are correctly documented and that accurate backup libraries are maintained.Work alongside global teams to support the installation and commission of new equipment.Support other sites in the AU network as required.Interpret both mechanical and electrical drawings and develop improvement strategies for IEC 611313 compliance.About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We''re a technically skilled team of collaborative professionals guided by experienced leaders, working together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network.Basic QualificationsExperience with automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.Experience in material handling, flow and capacity.Relevant experience with PLCcontrolled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.Experience with Microsoft Office, Ignition, Visio and AutoCAD is highly regarded.Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications are not required to apply for this position.
