Your career with us should reflect your energy and passion.Fund Accountant Superannuation (12month contract)Location: SydneyDescriptionThe primary purpose of the role is to complete various tasks including daily bank reconciliations, asset reconciliations, and from time to time Business Activity Statements and other adhoc accounting related tasks associated with superannuation funds.Job SpecificationCompletion of daily bank account reconciliations and efficient management of exceptions.Completion of monthly asset reconciliations and efficient management of exceptions.Liaise directly with processing teams to investigate and clear exception items identified by reconciliations.Liaise with internal and external parties to obtain information for reconciliation purposes.Assist other accountants and senior staff with adhoc reconciliations and accounting tasks.Adhoc fund accounting tasks.Skills Required2+ years of fund accounting experience (preferred).Bachelor''s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.CPA (preferred but not required).Practical knowledge in reconciling large databases and amalgamating subsidiary ledgers.Sound understanding of investment markets and the broader finance industry.Understanding of distributions, tax provisioning for superannuation funds.Advanced Excel skills.Preferred knowledge and experience in audit for superannuation/investments.Client delivery and service experience.What you will get in returnA genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business.Competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience.Training and development opportunities.Additional InformationWe are an equal opportunity employer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability.
