We deliver innovative, valueadded consulting, project delivery, asset operations and maintenance solutions across 21 offices in 9 countries, with projects in over 80 locations worldwide.Our team is growing and we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office.About the roleBe a key contributor to the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.Deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and best practice standards.Prepare technical reports related to design issues.Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project specific execution plan.Manage and review Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and timebased functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and take corrective action if necessary.Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.).Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures.Ensure that companyapproved design tools, software and relevant codes and standards are used on the project.About youDegree qualification in Mechanical Engineering & RPEQ accreditation.Experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants.Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous.10+ years in an EPCM environment.Extremely welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills.Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation.Strong interpersonal skills.Why Ausenco?Career advancement Be supported in your ongoing development with technical training, mentoring programs and frequent networking opportunities.Worklife balance Empowered to enjoy your life outside of the office with flexible working hours, workfromhome arrangements and modern leave policies, including paid parental leave and floating public holiday programs.Holistic approach to wellness Proactive approach to overall wellbeing.
