Staff receive ongoing support from an inhouse pedagogical coaching team and participate in a culture of professional learning, feedback exchange, and technologyinfused education.About the RoleAs a Secondary Science Teacher, you will plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for allocated classes, consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant syllabi, curriculum policies, and educational trends.Contribute to school objectives, planning, and maintain an orderly learning environment.Maintain student records and samples of work; report on student performance to students, parents, staff, and stakeholders.Maintain teaching competency and curriculum currency as required by NESA.Support students through interaction and by creating supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.Provide for the physical, social, cultural, emotional wellbeing and safety of students, fostering overall development towards effective citizenship and responsible adulthood through both timetabled and nontimetabled extracurricular activities.Assess students for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.Participate in the collaborative development, evaluation and monitoring of curriculum and teaching effectiveness.Pursue professional development opportunities.Who You AreHave an active Christian faith.Hold a suitable qualification and NESA accreditation (or be eligible).Exhibit the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.Demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.Be receptive to feedback and willing to implement changes.Plan, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve outcomes.Have a current Employee Working with Children Check.BenefitsWork with a dedicated Christian team.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).WHEREFIT fitness and wellbeing benefits.Part of a faith community with regular devotions and prayer.Opportunities for growth in faith, skills and experience.Canteen & caf.Onsite staff parking.Salary packaging available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
