Join to apply for the DS Registered Nurse role at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.We are looking for a Reg Nurse to provide care in the Noarlunga Donor Centre.About the roleStep into a rewarding role that directly impacts lifechanging donations. Working with donors, you will bring your customerfacing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service while ensuring Australia''s supply of blood products.Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility and suitability to donate.Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during the blood collection process.Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.Set up and operate collection machines and equipment.Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.Monitor donors postdonation and assist them in rebooking for their next visit.Working hoursPermanent parttime opportunity: 56 hours per fortnight across a rotating roster from Monday to Saturday. Shifts vary in length from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and are scheduled within the centre''s operating hours.
